Schapelle Corby - Doing The Marginals By The Numbers

Flyer here. Find your own electorate via this search engine. And if you don't live in a marginal electorate yourself, check out the list below to find your nearest one. And if you don't live in Australia, I'll shortly be publishing a list of local newspapers relevant to those electorates, so you can directly sponsor a small ad in one of those publications if you're feeling generous.

I think it's important to take a scientific approach to issues at times, so let's specifically target (as far as possible), all Federal seats currently held on margins of less than 5% by either party - then aim to distribute enough flyers in each electorate to cover 10 times the voter margin of the local member. For instance, there are 92,733 voters in the Federal seat of Moreton - and the local member there holds power by a margin of 1.1%. That equals around 1,020 votes, and 10 x 1,020 = 10,200 flyers. Distributing that number over a planned period of time (in key spots), wouldn't be that difficult or expensive, using just black and white (set to fast draft), to produce the material.

Of course, flyers aren't the only avenue - we can start using the local media, and any other creative and quirky ideas people come up with (as long as they're peaceful and legal). Get your thinking caps on . . .
